Airbnb or hotel for a couple’s first trip together?

Hi! We are an early-20s couple. Working na ako for a year and graduating na ang gf ko.

Naka-book na kami papuntang Taiwan this October. Bale nag-iisip kami kung Airbnb or hotel accommodation ang kunin namin.

4 days and 3 nights lang kami at around ₱13k ang budget namin. Need lang namin ng insights kasi first time namin mag-travel together. Hindi ba kami magiging pansinin sa Immigration?

May nababasa kasi ako na illegal daw ang Airbnb sa Taiwan.

Need Advice for Early 20s First-time travel as a couple

Hello everyone! Hingi lang sana kami ng advice and insights para sa upcoming Taiwan trip namin ngayong October. First time travel abroad ng gf ko, and first time din namin mag-travel together overseas.

About Us:

Met in 2nd yr college (PE Class) and 3 years & counting na kami.

Both families know each other and kasama na lagi sa events.

Flight, hotel, and Klook activities are all booked and paid for.

Budget: Around ₱70k pocket money EACH by the time na lilipad kami.

Also we have a booked flight din sa Singapore sa January, para sana yun ang first travel namin, but we decided na mag try mag taiwan this October since matagal-tagal pa yung January.

About Me (BF):

Travelled twice papunta ng Singapore.

Working full-time sa isang fully remote marketing agency since May 2025 (started before graduating last Oct 2025).

Documents on hand: COE, ITR, HMO card, and latest payslips.

Dilemma: May part-time remote work din ako sa SG-based company. Pumasok sa iisang bank account ang parehong sweldo. Should I mention this part-time job sa IO, o stick lang ako sa main full-time COE/ITR ko?

About My Girlfriend:

First ever travel abroad.

Accountancy graduate (Graduating this August 20, 2026). Scholar for continuing study and currently enrolled na sa review center for May 2027 CPALE boards (Full-time reviewee).

Financial Capability: May sariling ipon (~₱70k+) mula sa Pag-IBIG MP2 account na nag-mature last March 2026. Nasimulan niya nung 2021 through part-time jobs, on-call work, and side hustles.

  1. Unregistered Part-Time Work: Need pa ba naming banggitin yung SG part-time gigs namin, o mas okay na wag na lang para iwas gulo at tanong sa status?

  2. IO Tips: Any red flags na dapat naming iwasan as first-time young travelers na magkasamang lilipad?
