Long story short, we adopted a dog from the humane society thinking it was a Great Pyrenees mix and it’s most likely some type of Kangal mix. We love him and want to keep him safe on our large-ish property.

I did some research on gps electric fence collars and bought a Dogtra GPS fence collar (rural living so the power goes out often during windstorms and I was worried an underground wire wouldn’t be reliable.)

Has anyone else used this brand? Do you have one you like better? If you are using this model, what are your settings for the correction function?

We discovered that our home was broken into while we were on vacation for a few days. They broke a door, stole lots of tools and even put large safe with our firearms in it. As well as our personal documents.

We have lived here for a year and had a security system for a bit but it kept malfunctioning so we ditched it. We have no “neighbors” and live off a highway. I feel sick. I don’t know how I’m going to heal from this.
