Why? Just why?

It’s a horrible user experience, the opening theme starts playing and you try to swap to the race feed, then you go to 15 minutes before. Pressing the live button doesn’t work. You kill the app, try again and same thing still start at the same spot as before while that the race is almost has started and you’re pushing like crazy to switch and get it live.

Why they make it so bad? how hard would it be to automatically swap from pre-race to race?

I want to check if is it normal for contractors to ask for payment for the offer.

I am planning a big renovation: kitchen, toilet, bathroom, heated floors, stairs and a few other smaller things.

The contractor came back saying it’s 300 euros for the offer so they can provide me with proper price and technical assessments. Stated it’s fair for both sides parts which I kinda agree to. That costs would then be deducted from their work bill if I decide to go with them.

When I asked back what is included in the technical assessment, the contractor mainly said transport costs and time to prepare the offer. No technical drawings or documents included. So to me this isn’t worth the 300 they are asking.

So far all the work I’ve done on the house involved free quotes without a cost, but given the size, I’m unsure if this is a common market price.

EDIT: Thanks for the answers everyone. It’s been unanimous that this doesn’t sound right. I’ll look for other alternatives for the quotes.
