Is there anyway to help this pigeon?
Hi all. Please give me some advice on this pigeon.
My friend let me know about it cowering in a corner and it looked like they had a small nick on its toe. I went to get them and it turned out to be a sizeable gash on their stomach area. I’ve applied pressure until the bleeding has mostly stopped, and then disinfected it. They’re now in a shallow box with some seed and a dish of water. It’s covered so they don’t stress out but we can hear them and it sounds like they’re eating seeds or moving around inside at least.
Is there anything like medicine I could get? Myself and some passer-by’s called local helplines for wild animals but none were answering or interested.
Even if there’s nothing to do, is there a way to make them comfortable through the night?
