Finished waffle weave sample!

Very happy with the finished piece. However I am unsure of how to wash it and dry it.

I’m assuming, since it is natural 100% wool (unsure if washed or unwashed wool), I need to hand wash in cold water with wool soap (my dad has some that he uses on his wool sweaters), and lay flat to dry. When I lay flat to dry, should I lightly block it on blocking mats? Lay on top of towels without blocking it? Please let me know what you would do!

First time using pick up sticks!

Recently received my new Schacht Cricket 10” today and my first boat shuttle. Started a waffle weave to try out pick up sticks. Very happy with how it looks so far. Unsure of the yarn brand, but I know for a fact it’s a natural wool yarn (hands are sticky).

First project in a long time

Warped my loon for the first time in a while. Mainly didn’t use it bc I didn’t have many large project ideas and I’ve been travelling. Recently just ordered a 10” cricket loom to take with me while traveling and for sampling for larger projects in the future.

Currently weaving a simple houndstooth/pinwheel pattern on unknown cotton/linen cones (~30 dpi) on a 15 dpi reed.

Deciding on an e-spinner

Hey everyone! I usually spin on a Lendrum double treadle wheel. I’m looking into an affordable e-spinner to see if I like it, since I’ve been considering it for a few years.

Currently I’m looking at the EEW 6.1, EEW Nano, EEW fold, and a Daedalus Dove. I usually spin between fingering and worsted weight. Not too big of an art yarn spinner. I’m open to other affordable options if there are more I’m not thinking of. I’d say my budget it at around $500 with all add-ons/accessories.

Custom drilling for bowling balls

Hi! Newer bowler here who’s tired of using house balls.

I am looking into getting my own bowling balls, but I am unsure as to whether I should get my custom measurements for drilling at a pro shop or online. I currently live in central PA, so there aren’t a variety of available options for pro shops here (I don’t think) within a 45min to 1hr driving range, so I wanted potential input from y’all.

Should I buy the bowling balls I want online and then go to a pro shop to get them custom drilled, or should I go to a pro shop first? Additionally, I’m worried my big joints will be a bit weird to fit, since rings get stuck on them fairly easily, but I think I’m just overthinking.
