Has anyone put a 3 point seatbelt conversion into their early (‘61) bug? I have a ‘61 ragtop that I would like to drive again someday, and like the idea of a better seatbelt. I’m an old fart, and would like to continue to be one even after an accident…
This is the 4.0 block with the 4.2 crank, etc. it has a mild comp cam and I converted it to FiTec 2 barrel fuel injection. It runs great, but it eventually overheats at the back of the engine only. The rear thermostat will spike above 250, while the FiTec thermostat mounted in line with the intake water jacket reads 150. It has a brand new aluminum radiator, water pump, and all new engine internals. My next step is to remove the thermostat and see if the water pump is flowing. The bottom of the radiator is hotter than the top of the radiator when running. Any jeep pros out here have a fix?
