Hello, I’m starting my first semester of grad (humanities) school and will be getting my new MacBook semi soon! I was hoping yall could give me advice on making my computer work for me and not me working against it—I want to maximize my use. What apps are you using, how are you organizing-specifically assignments/due dates, and what browser extensions would you suggest(if any, I’ve read the debates here 💀)? Thank you in advance for your help—also as a personal preference I would appreciate if your suggestions could be AI free as the computer comes with enough🫶🏾

I just got into grad school, but I am as first generation as it can get! My parents died when I was a baby and my grandmother cannot help because she needs to focus on reti. In a classic financial aid move, they were less than helpful when I emailed asking for information. So I am coming to y’all! What are the right questions for me to ask on how I can fund receive funding/aid? I would also love to know your stories/experiences/how you found scholarships.

I feel like I am trying so hard to be A Person™️ but nothing is working. I’m cleaning, I got into grad school (unanimously 🥳) and I keep applying for jobs, but constant rejection. That hope once I get an interview and then the rejection over and over is really hard. Anyway, today what made me cry and want to just lay down forever is that baggu released a bag that just screams me, but I can’t get it because like everyone else in America, I don’t have a job 🥰 Is this melodramatic? Probably, but that all encompassing darkness is triggered by stupid things. I just feel so stuck. I guess I’ll just finish cleaning the house and hope I keep up the momentum enough to shower 🫡

Before my discussion question, some background on me. Grey’s anatomy has been in my life since its premiere when I was 6; my family watched it and then I binged it on Netflix when I fell off watching it every Thursday. Sure there are storylines and seasons I don’t like as much, but has that not been greys from the start? I feel as though I’m in the minority when it comes to the show right now ESPECIALLY the finale. The whole Skywalker, Griffin, and Bryant situation is textbook greys and I was eating it up! The new interns have in my eyes have only elevated the show. So I guess I want to know is what would make you feel like this show is what it was that made you fall in love and what are you loving?
