Hey everyone! Looking to see if there’s interest among local parents in the North Hills area to get a low-key social group going.

Thinking easy stuff like playground meetups, walks (North Park, etc.), or grabbing a coffee while the kids burn off energy.

About me: 33M, dad to a 2-year-old and a 3-month-old. Over time, most of my core friends have either moved away or are in completely different stages of life, so I'm looking to build a new local circle.

If there's enough interest, I can set up a group chat where everyone can say hi and get comfortable before we plan an in-person meetup.

My 2024 R1T Dual Large lease ends in about 10 months. Despite a few minor issues, it’s truly my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned. The challenge now is figuring out what to replace it with.

OUR SETUP & NEEDS:

- Family of 4: 2-year-old and a 2-month-old. Both car seats are installed side-by-side in the back row to leave one outer seat open.

- Dog(s): One 110 lb Golden Retriever currently riding in that open rear passenger seat. We plan to add a second dog down the road, which is going to make the R1T rear bench basically impossible.

- Driver/Passenger Height: Both my wife and I are under 5'6", so front-seat legroom with rear-facing car seats isn't an issue for us - it's mostly rear bench width and dog space.

- Bed Usage: Occasionally haul mulch, dirty gear, or Costco furniture, but it's primarily used for luggage on trips.

- Travel: Primary family road-trip vehicle - we travel a decent amount.

THE CONTENDERS:

I’ve considered almost everything, but my current top choices are:

1. Used Gen 2 R1T Max: Keep everything I love about the truck, but get a newer build with more range.

2. Used Gen 2 R1S Max: Keep the Rivian experience, but move to an enclosed SUV layout with the dog(s) in the cargo area while keeping the 2nd row strictly for the kids.

3. F-150 Platinum / Limited: Stick with a truck, but get significantly more rear cab width/space and a larger bed. Plus legacy perks like massaging seats, heated wipers, and Apple CarPlay.

4. Expedition Platinum: Go all-in on full-size family SUV space.

The idea of going back to a gas car and everything that comes with it really doesn't appeal to me, but the R1T is starting to feel tight as our family grows, and I'm torn on where to go next.

(P.S. Intentionally excluded GM EVs and family SUVs - I’d strongly prefer not to own a GM vehicle.)

Looking for the 40MM Yatchmaster in Rose gold with Oysterflex (VSF or ARF) if anyone is selling theirs. Open to stock watches but prefer plated ones.
