bjs brewhouse gluten free pizookie review

this was carry out as my mom grabbed me one so some of the integrity may have been lost. it is super close to a regular cookie it is soft in the middle and the edges are a nice crispy. however it does contain a bit of that gritty texture you find in a lot of gf alternatives so i would keep that in mind when ordering. having it with ice cream makes it a lot better and takes out a lot of the gf taste/texture i am getting and it is close to identical. still noticeable though. i also am getting a small after taste that I cannot confirm is it being gf and may have been an issue within baking so i wont give it flak there. overall i would get it again!

The Alcove is the best place in Mount Vernon Ohio if you are Celiac

(apologies for the last image that was a late night sweet treat) before even being diagnosed i thought the alcove was great. its columbus food without having to pay columbus prices. if you are in the area and cannot eat gluten you HAVE to try here at least once. not only do they do really good at preventing cross contamination they have many menu items that are already gluten free. when i was there i got the oysters on the half shell, calamari (cornmeal breading and completely gluten free), a caesar side salad (without croutons it is also gluten free) oscar style filet, brussel spouts, and i was even able to get a peach crisp for dessert!! i was shocked, every single on of their desserts is gluten free (excluding the occasional dessert special with is sometimes gluten) and i was given gluten free rolls with NO upcharge. it was really really exciting to see as someone who really struggles to find anywhere that has food i can eat. id definitely try it out if you can!!

fully gluten free bakehouse and market is delaware ohio is AMAZING

this was my first time going there. being celiac the things i miss the most are good bread and cream filled donuts. (but i just love baked goods in general) i just cant risk it with how bad the reaction gets but i tried this place because its pretty close to home and i LOVE IT. they had a wall of pantry items, specialty pasta, snacks, soup mixes, stuffing, breading, dessert and bread mix, some sauces, instant noodles, so so much. in the frozen section there is so much stuff too, crab rangoons, pretzels, buns, pies, donuts, cookies, cupcakes, frozen meals, frozen apps. something im never able to get is fish sticks they had those. their bakery section if you just go is limited they sell out quick i think. i would recommend ordering ahead and either that or some stuff is shippable. but i was able to actually get a few things just walking in. warning though, you will be spending gluten free prices still. one bag and a box ended up being like 120. Thats unfortunately kinda expected though. If you can go or get it shipped i still definitely recommend it!!! could barely tell the difference and that may only be because I KNOW its gluten free. tbh it just felt like eating a cookie and they have a TON of fun flavors like a smores cookie

every single thing is gluten free and they also have a big selection of dairy free too!! check it outtttttt
