Lease return inspection listed bumper scratch as "Normal Wear" but still charged

Got my pre-return inspection back on my 2024 Lyriq lease (ending this month). The inspection report classified it as "Normal Wear" and still added a $66 charge for it. Since that amount seems reasonable to me, I'm inclined to just leave it as-is rather than get it fixed. My main concern is avoiding any surprise charges later. Is this something I can get confirmed as final when I actually drop the car off at the dealership?

Lyriq lease return — Open Lane pre-inspection flagged missing charger ($470) and bumper wear ($66) — will these be finalized at drop-off or can dealer add more later?

My 2024 Lyriq lease ends this month. Open Lane did the pre-return inspection and flagged:

  1. Charger "missing" — $470 charge. It wasn't in the trunk during inspection but it's actually in my garage and I'll return it with the car at drop-off.
  2. Front bumper/cover excess wear (some scratches) — $66 charge.

Questions for anyone who's been through this:

  • If I hand the charger over at drop-off, does that $470 charge actually get removed, or do I need to fight it after the fact?
  • Is the $66 bumper charge locked in, or can the dealer's own inspection at drop-off tack on more for the same scratches?
  • Any tips for documentation (photos, signed forms) to protect myself from surprise charges on the final GM Financial invoice?
