Should I go to school for a bachelor’s in nursing that is online/ hybrid. Since I’m a mom of 2 it would be easier for me to do online school but this program is 60,000! But then I could do the cnm route. The cpm route might be easier and cheaper as well but in long run it’s not helpful for insurance and more opportunities.

How much did you guys pay to become a cpm ? Like I found a midwifery school for 20,000 for three year track. And then I know there all the other fees as well for random stuff. Did you have to pay your midwife that trained you ? Because there was one I got a hold of saying the compensation is different depending if I want to school or did the experience pathway. Not sure what she meant. I want to start a practice as well so idk I might be like spending close to what I pay for that online school or loosing money because i won’t have as much work as a cpm.

Pro for cpm route is not dealing with hospitals is my biggest thing. I want to help with home births more holistic midwifery. Like medical science is fun why nursing school might be fun but I have to deal with the hospitals. So yeah help please lol.

So im 6 weeks postpartum. I’m getting positive tests but I’m bleeding and have clots. I went to doctor test was negative blood test for pregancy they didn’t check the level of hormone though. They said I had tissue in my cervix but he didn’t explains at all to me if it would cause positives at all if I had that. I had a dnc at delivery too. So I’m wondering if I had a miscarriage and why there tissue there. Just wondering if I did because I never got pregnant naturally before only IVF pregnancies. Like is sad to be miscarrying but i would love to know I can get pregnant naturally. Also is there a chance I could be pregnant but early even though I’m bleeding with clots. Just not sure. Doctors don’t help at all. And yeah I know we should have waited to have sex but was at 4 weeks and got ok from doctor and also again never got pregnant naturally. So I’m not even sure about birth control we just be more careful and track my cycle to not get to pregnant too early if I’m not right now.

I’m 10 months into my bussiness wondering if getting an office space or even like a day use meeting space randomly or something would be beneficial for me. Try to set up like mom meet ups. Or expecting mom meetups. I would like my own office space one day. Or if I have a partner we can split the cost of the office space. Where I got certified her office space was huge where she does classes and a milk bank and resource closet. Does her classes there to make other doulas which I want to do as well one day. Just doing things out my house not sure about. Even meeting clients at there house for prenatals isn’t always ideal. Might be easier with an office space. Also marketing having a sign up where people can see outside and having our name on the outside ect.

I have had the midwife in my area and my doctor who delivered my baby in my portal I can contact. And wondering if that be easier to ask them about a potential client doing Vbac after 3 successful vbacs . Or could I get in trouble for sending that. I’m not adding her name or info just asking if she can do it. Cause when we call the front office they like no Vbac here and never asking history and like she had 3 successful ones I would think she be a good candidate to have a doctor near by because if not she has to drive a hour away.
