How to copy keywords from one image to another BUT source/destination images are in different folders?

I can't seem to figure out how to copy keywords from image A in folder X to image B in folder Y. I can copy/apply within the same folder, but not across folders in a Catalog.

What am I missing here?

I'm using the Adjustments Clipboard within the Metadata/Keywords panel. The global Copy/Apply all adjustments does not seem to help either.

If any capture One staffers are reading, I've always hated how C1 does keywords. It's either very manual or never intuitive. I often forget basic keywords functions beyond simply typing them in via the Keywords dialog. Aperture did this so much simpler for the user.

Pack Rat deterrence in camp/trailheads: is there anything that works reasonably well?

Been trying to find a clear direction on this and it seems that pack rats will find you if you get near them.

I have been having a run of scampering/chewing noises for the past year or so at several camp sites which is concerning. And, no, I don't have an established camper with me--it's always a new visitor with each camp.

Usually turning the engine on/off helps chase off the offender, but I picked up two besties doing a number on my hood liner on the same night recently.

Things claimed to work/not work from various Reddit threads:

  • hood up (hard when you're away from the vehicle)
  • peppermint oil and other scents (I worry this could attract bears and create a bigger damage problem)
  • light strings on the ground (likely not effective and not what I want when escaping the urban glow)

The only things I've found to help, but don't eliminate the problem:

  • don't park near water (which you shouldn't do for animal access). Given a water/no-water choice, choose the no-water option. If your camp site or trailhead is near water, choose the point furthest from water/brush.
  • park away from brush/logs/other pack rat habitat (can be hard, but sometimes a few feet can help) the furthest point the better
  • hood up while you're with the vehicle, if possible.

Action I'm going to try is a snap trap under the hood at night. Not a fan of killing the critter, but being stuck out in the yonders would be really $$$ in some cases. Definitely not going to wrap the vehicle given the amount of work for the length of stay.

Thoughts? Options?

What's Reno's equivalent of Seattle's Jimothy?

What urban animal has captured the city's attention in the past like Jimothy (a raccoon with short-spine syndrome) has in Seattle? Source.

Hate windows? Then Boardertown Casino's new casino will deliver!

Boardertown Casino is replacing it building in 2027 (construction has started) and this is the final rendering of the completed building. Massive loss in having no windows and going classic "keep 'em inside for as long as possible" mode in the design. Could have had some area charm for local residents with views to the west... Here is the WC staff report on the project.

The Biggest Little Block...

This block is a classic Reno tragedy in a three acts. First the houses demo'd, then the fourplex, then the motel, and, finally, a dirt lot. The block is owned by Cshv Center Street LLC, which appears to be an investment vehicle for a CA teachers union. There was a permit filed four years ago, but little has happened since 2024 with the permit still active. I can't find a plan for the proposed development. I often think about the little fourplex that could have been a cheap rat-hole housing a few people for these past dozen years, not to mention the houses that were likely architecturally relevant to the district (although likely let get run down).

Neon Line Sign up for public comment in permitting process

The proposed Neon Line District sign permit is now in the public comment stage as it heads toward final approval in site plan review. The application is worth reading for the consultants bullshit language about the dynamic nature of the Neon Line District and that Scenic Nevada took Jacobs all the way to the NV Supreme Court (and lost) about the sign being a tiresome billboard in the view of 80.

My biggest issue is that there is an official (or even unofficial) Neon Line District. I'm not sure if the City has officially designated the Dirt Lot District as the Neon Line District.

New Bakery! Savi Bakery on California, old Lupo space.

Savi just opened in the old Lupo/Satisfaction pizza spot on California/Plumas. It’s tasty!

It’s been running for a week or two and worth investigating. Selection is solid but should grow bigger as it gets more people stopping in.

Mono Craters Granitic Crystal-Melt Mush Columns

C1 and C3 are granitic crystal-melt mush (partially crystallized magma) columns that fed the most recent Mono Craters eruptions. The connection from C1 to South Coulee (SC) is older and colder than the connection from C3 to North Coulee (NC) and Panum Crater (PC), which carries hydrothermal fluid to the surface. C2 depicts a fracture network containing fluids of metamorphic or magmatic origin. R1 is a resistive cold pluton, or body of granitic rocks, that crops out at the surface at Aeolian Buttes. Black dashed lines are modeled faults (LVF = Lee Vining fault and ISF = Indian Springs fault). Source USGS.
