First responders discount

So the place I normally go to has been all over the board with the rules. Some of the employees tell me I have to be in the work vehicle to get the discount. Some will give it to me if I'm in uniform. Sometimes I work at 10pm and I want to pick it up right before work and they're closed by the time I'm in the truck. I only ever get 7brew on the days that I work and usually right before a 3rd shift OR in the morning if I go in at 4am. Can anyone advise?

Lessons or just join masters

Hello! I'm wanting to start swimming for exercise. I'm a 32 F and I *can* swim. As in, if I jumped into the deep end or got into a pool I'm pretty confident I'm not going to drown and I can float for a short period of time. But I am 100% sure that I could not swim a full lap and I don't know the difference between the strokes or how to breathe properly.

I've read Masters is for all levels. Is my level too low? Should I start with lessons to get comfortable first? I'm also hoping to make some friends along the way.
