As a brewista of only about a month, but someone who had barista’s at various other places for the past 5-6 years, I’ve honestly been disappointed (but I guess not that surprised) about the fact that it seems that I see more absolutely nasty and mean customers, or at least see them more often here (or I guess at least at my stand but I’m just assuming it’s common throughout all) than I have at any other place I’ve worked, and I’ve worked both at local small coffee shops and at a bigger corporate (Caribou). It is hard to not get so angry and upset when the way 7 Brew is designed to be obviously sets much higher expectations for brewistas so the customers give less grace- and I often get genuinely yelled at every day or every other day. But at my stand we have also been having problems with having staff, as people have been getting fired and calling out often, or just not enough people available (typically during mid) so when it’s super busy it’s hard to keep up sometimes and so part of the frustration is always wait time. But they just are less understanding overall about anything (definitely not everyone, I’ve had plenty of nice or very friendly customers come as well ofc), or often times get mad at drinks being wrong when they come the way they ordered them, they just don’t know what they’re ordering (which is super irritating to me in itself but I could go on and on about that…) Also, to clarify, I am not trying to blame the company necessarily or specific people it just sucks it’s always going to be this way.

Has anyone else had this experience or noticed this? Idk if also it’s just the type of people living in my city cuz honestly…😭😭😭😭

Hey everybody! Quick question. I’d say for over a year at various stands, I’ve used my free drinks for large energy drinks, no ice, filled up. I figure it’s a great way to use the free drink, it’s a lot of drink that I can can last a day or two, drink while gaming (and maybe add gin, rum or something to it based on the flavors lol)
Today when I went to my closest 7Brew and the brewista told me she couldn’t make my free drink a large energy with no ice filled. (Although I’ve don’t it at this location several times.) she said the best they can do is light ice. Their manager is cracking down on them. I told her I’ve only used the free drinks for that, but it’s no big deal, I’m not going to argue about a drink that’s free. She apologized, I told her no big deal.

So I’m wondering if that is a company policy that they just haven’t cared about in the past, or maybe is it stand specific? This stand is new, maybe 3-4 months. So maybe that stand manager has that rule.

Does anyone else have any tips on good “bang for your buck” drinks for your free drinks? I’ve never had a shake or a smoothie. Maybe those would be good ones. Thanks in advance?

I just got hired at a stand near my college n found out theyre under the same franchise as one that opened near me a week ago by where i live at home. (for reference im 40 mins-1hr from home) n i was wondering will they accommodate me when and if i leave for winter break and come back OR if i transfer and transfer back since theyre under the same franchise. i did tell them where im from and stuff in the interview and that i attend school that the hiring manager said she goes to as well but does it through online but do i ask? or will it be a no go.

To 7Brew baristas, I had my interview yesterday and I haven’t gotten anything back yet, but if I get hired is there anything I should learn before I start training? Any tips for the scoops and barista test? Thank you!
