Found a new, fun way to frustrate the AI
Been playing since launch, and thought I'd thought of everything. Playing as the Turks, and wanted to go to the New World, which I've never done with that faction. Haven't done it with a lot of them, actually, because I usually get bored long before gunpowder. So I mustered up my persistence, and I've just gotten to gunpowder after a bloodbath of a Mongol invasion. I've been making vassals as I can so the Sultan can exult in being Sultan.
Well, I was at war with Hungary and working my way down their territory before attempting to convince them to accept vassalage. And then....the Pope declared a Crusade to Cairo, and every. European. nation. joined. So I was suddenly at war with everyone except the Moors and my existing vassals, HRE and Venice.
Hungary joined the Crusade too, but as I was kicking their ass already and needing to change plans, I asked them to accept vassalage. To my surprise, they did. But this idiot kept on heading for Cairo. So, rather than attack and restart that war, I tried this novel approach. So far, the general has gotten out and tried to pass my forts twice, but I collapse my blockade each time and he goes back to the ship.🤣🤣
