Its been 7 years since the movie they kinda teased a sequel at the end with fleegle activating but no other announcement will this turn out like killer klowns from outer space 2 where they just never said anything and quietly cancell it?

Why are the banana splits portrayed as villains in jellystone?
I feel like the banana splits could have been the good guys but they where made bad i don't like how they where portrayed as the bad guys snorky is a good guy not bad!
