Help understanding a pattern
Hi! I am trying to do a coaster pattern found on Handy Hands for my third project. It seems relatively straightforward which is awesome. At the top of the page, it says “Ring and Chain method - Two shuttles” Does this mean it’s a regular two-shuttle pattern, where the thread is continuous between the two? Would this work as a shuttle & ball pattern instead (i prefer that)? Seeing as the instructions are to cut between each round anyways, I don’t see why it wouldn’t, but perhaps I am missing something.
If it has to be two shuttles instead, how do you know which shuttle to use? The previous pattern I followed that used 2 shuttles had a video that I was able to follow, watching when they switched, which this one does not.
Lastly, for the last round, are the 4 rings all connected using the same picot? So, the first ring you make a picot, and the next three all join to that same one?
