Tau Modular Orbitals

I made a set of Tau Modular Orbitals. I always wanted some of these, but the originals were impossible to find in my part of the world, and expensive, and had limited build options unless you bought a lot of kits. For their limited battlefield value they not practical. Of course, 3D printing changes that; you can print whatever arrangement of parts you might like, and make full use of the rules.
Left to right in first photo:
1 - 3x railguns, 1x manufacturing -- a str 9 battery with a tracking system and a bonus shield. 75pts
2 - 4x launch bays -- maximize the attack craft for only 60pts
3 - 3x grav hooks, 1x habitat -- up to 3 orcas and an extra hit point. 40pts plus orcas

They also make great objectives for scenarios in their civilian layouts.

I want to make some rules up where you can daisy-chain orbitals together by using a module space for a bridging component. Suggestions welcome.

Tau Orbital City

The Tau get their own special planetary defences in BFG. I made a new Orbital City model for use in our campaigns. I tried to match the style of the original Forge world model in most ways, but I put obvious weaponry and launch bays on the underside. There was an image of a B5 Vorlon outpost that provided some inspiration too.
I'll be making a bunch more of the smaller and modular orbitals in the future.
It's on Cults3D.

Imperial Blackstone Fortress proxy

We wanted a space station in between the standard 150pt station and the Ramillies. Luckily the defences section of the rulebook suggests using the Imperial Blackstone Fortress as the basic stats for a large station. We just needed a model that fit into our sector's style.
The fun part was that the station has all round fire arcs, and no "front" or quadrants, so I could use a hexagonal symmetry without any concern for the compass template. I rather enjoy making stations.
It's on my cults3D page, if anyone is looking.
I'm making a Tau city station next, and am pondering a Nova-cannon armed station in the future.
