Just wanted to share what I thought was a smart decision for our 2 lines. We've been on the old "Play More" plan for years and were getting the Disney+ deal included.
Verizon kept nagging to move to the new plans so I looked into them. I liked the discounted Google AI Pro plan so I moved my line to the new plan and left the wife's on the old. Now we get Disney+ with hers and AI with mine.
Random thoughts today about the various genres and periods of music I'm into.
Do others have this experience where you have favorite playlists of music separated by decades. I've got days where all I want is early 70s rock/folk including Allman Brothers, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Steve Miller Band, even Carole King or James Taylor.
And then days where I listen to pure early 90s grunge, or that short period of time for alt- metal like Deftones and Korn.
Some days my interests are newer, but for me after the 2000s I became a jam fan. Phish, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Goose, Billy Strings. I just don't know if my deep interest in all this is rare at all. Probably influence by my dad and then certain flashes of my life.
Some here might hate the comparisons but does anyone else think the guys are destined for a widely-accessible Genesis/Journey/Yes kind of sound? More and more focus on the songs and movements/choruses/time changes in them. I don't hate it. And I def come from the jam band and bluegrass scene.
EDIT: ok yes and journey are off. Not really a listener of deep tracks on either one. One person did say Steely Dan and I love that one.
I am a comparable novice to most here, but am learning React front end and Python back end work.
Not asking how to do it but asking how I can cheaply and efficiently serve my own personal projects? At this point my work mostly consists of a React SPA front end and back end Python containers running Flask or FastAPI.
I am used to separating the two so how should I go about hosting? I use Google for their AI Pro plan already so maybe Firebase/Cloud Run? Maybe those are dumb choices though within the community here. Thanks for any more guidance on hosting this stuff.
BTW in my real job development we are usually living in the Windows Server world and I'm running the backend just with IIS.
Like many I still have the Play More deals from a few years ago. The new Ultimate whatever plans they offer have a deal for Gemini discounts and are like 10 bucks cheaper than play more I think?
So to transition one line, I just need to leave the phone line with the email used to sign up for Disney+ correct? Don't want to do this then lose Disney+. I'd like to keep the Disney deal and get a discount one the one line where the person is using Gemini heavily.
