So I was thinking to go to a dentist here in Switzerland for reparis (no crowns). I already paid 130 chf for the checkup and i was given a devis of 1000 chf for "minor" repairs.
I do need crowns on 1 or 2 teeth. I was wondering where to go for a complete proper work? I had bad experience in Gex, France. And never been to Germany.
I really need a profesionnal trusted clinic that can do a proper job. Budget is close to 5k.
Thank you for any sugesstions.
Hello all,
I am a fresh graduate and recently started working as junior security engineer at a telecom company. A lot is new to me and i know i will learn things along the way but i keep wondering if it is good for my future and career growth? Is this type of knowledge even needed? Can i easily find a job later?
I am based in Europe btw.
I am fresh graduate on cybersecurity. Just started in industry as a junior security engineer in Switzerland. Wondering what to expect as career path and growth. My education is master's from EPFL and ETHZ.

Hello all,
I am writing here to see if someone has a complete or partial Bluray collection of Smallville TV show? I saw it on Galaxus but it is too expensive.
Thanks.
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some perspectives from people who deal with severe physical social anxiety and panic.
Quick background: I’m a high-achieving guy in my late 20s, but my body goes into full fight-or-flight mode around people. Stomach drops, mouth/hands shaking, panic surges. It’s gotten to the point where I’ve started avoiding my usual social circle entirely just to escape the physical distress.
I recently started seeing a psychodynamic therapist, but when I asked about getting concrete techniques to handle the physical panic and avoidance, she told me she won't be providing coping techniques and wants to focus strictly on understanding why I feel this way (exploring past history, identity, etc.).
While I see the value in understanding the root causes, I feel like my body is being held hostage right now, and I need tools to stop avoiding my friends.
For those who have dealt with intense physical social anxiety or panic attacks:
Would love to hear what worked (or didn't work) for you. Thanks!
To the person that stole my backpack from between my legs in perle du lac monday, and that won't read this message anyways: you can keep the laptop, you can keep the credit cards, you can keep the headphones, but please, please get the bag and the rest of the stuff somehow to the police. I had papers in there that represent the culmination of multiple months of work taking essentially all of my free time and soul, and in no way can I get that data back any other way.
I'm soul crushed and feeling at the very end right now. If any kind soul somehow finds it in s bush or lying around, please get it to the police, and if any of you have an idea of what more I could do (I deposited a complaint, and filled up the objets trouvés form) I would be incredibly thankful.
Please, and thank you
Update 1 : I went to lost and found today and some incredible soul found some of my stuff on the ground and brought it there. I'm happy to say I got my papers back (and promptly scanned and uploaded them to a drive). It seems what is still missing is, unsurprisingly, my passport, laptop, Tablet, and some small stuff like my power bank. Thanks to all of you for your support 🙏🏻
Hello all,
For those that have the knowledge and experience, how challenging it is to launch a startup in Switzerland? I currently reside in Vaud and work in the IT Cybersecurity field. I am fresh graduate from EPFL and ETHZ with a few years of experience in broadcast and telecom security. But frankly, a 9 to 5 is not doing it for me and I need to run my own business.
Before i find a niche, it would be a great help to know what difficulties to expectm outside the one unique to the field.
Many thanks.

Hello,
So i am not a tourist, but only moved to Lausanne 5 months ago (From Nyon). What are some must try places in terms of food, drinks or views?
Thanks.

Bonjour,
Je ne suis pas touriste, mais j’ai emménagé à Lausanne il y a 5 mois, (depuis Nyon). Quels sont selon vous, les endroits incontournables à découvrir pour manger, boire un verre ou profiter d’une belle vue ?
Merci !
Hello,
I am applying to security engineering roles as a fresh graduate in Cybersecurity from EPFL/ETHZ. Currently applying in three cantons: Geneva, Vaud and Zurich. What should be my salary expectations in case i need to negotiate my salary?
Thanks.
Hello,
I have a 2 bedroom appartment but I only need one bedroom. I was thinking to rent out one room but I am a prety clean person and would hate to have issues with someone that doesn't respect the rules. How is your experience if any? Did it bother you or was it alright?
The appartment is in Lausanne btw.
Thanks.
Hello,
I live near Lausanne and my appartment is around 60m^(2) . I try to keep my blinds down during the day but sometimes it gets really hot already in May. I was looking at some portable AC (Ecofort) but I don't want to purchase one for 600 CHF without getting some opinions. So what was your final solution and your product?
Many thanks for anyone who takes time to repond.
Hello,
When I started my master studies in cybersecurity 3 years ago, everyone was saying "Good choice, very much in demand", and now that I graduated, everyone saying: "Good luck finding a job".
What is going on? Is it really that bad or is it the lack of skilled workers or is it AI?
Thanks.
