Watch incredible solar eclipses from other planets
As this new total solar eclipse approached, I heard again that Earth's solar eclipses were quite unique due to the nearly perfect apparent size of the sun and our moon.
But I hadn't seen anything on what these other non-perfect eclipses would look like on other planets.
It wasn't too hard to calculate the apparent size of the sun and different moons of the solar system from the vantage point of their planets, as well as the speed of transition and the magnitude of the stars that would be revealed at totality. It turned out pretty spectacular.
