Well it was nice while it lasted. Tessera is without water again, and on the first day of school no less. I hope we don’t need “special equipment” to make the repair again. I wonder what the giant water tank at the top of the subdivision is for.
Water is the one thing that keeps failing at Tessera
Test drove today in Wisconsin, about as far away from our home state as possible, so she wouldn’t worry about the traffic nor any other factors and was instead surrounded by beautiful nature.
A few months ago she told me to stop talking her ear off about the R2 and to just buy it or stop thinking about it, so I wasn’t very hopeful.
I was very set on Catalina Cove, with my second favorite being either Borealis or Forest Green. Yet, when we arrived, I didn’t like the Catalina Cove as much as I expected. We did the test drive and absolutely loved it. Sound system was fine, Autonomy plus didn’t work on the stretch of highway we were on, but I do know I’m getting a car that doesn’t drive itself and I honestly never use FSD on my 2021 Model Y.
What really surprised me was my wife comparing it to a Tahoe we got as a rental when the Tesla was in the shop. It’s obviously smaller, but it is a lot quieter and the interior room, to her, felt similar (I’m not going to negotiate against myself, so I agreed).
By the time we got back to Rivian, she declared unequivocally that we were getting it (as long as I can find the right financing terms) AND that we’re getting a Forest Green with black interior. And you know what? Even though we have white interiors right now because we live in freaking Texas, the seat coolers are amazing so I’m on board.
All this to say, fellow Rivianites, bring your wife, she will love it.
