Back on the road!

The two week saga is finally over! I drove to Las Vegas at the beginning of May for MagicCon and my birthday. When I went to leave my car sounded like a motorcycle, the catalytic converter had been cut out from the exhaust system, jokes on them my mechanic had wanted to replace it as the next big expense on her. I wasn’t about to drive the 9 hours back to New Mexico so insurance was called she was towed to a shop and I was put into a rental. I finally drove back this weekend to pick her and she runs fine. Any suggestions for cat shields?

Sorry for the multiple reposts and deletes I was trying to post from the mobile app and it wasn't playing nice

P.s Red Rock Canyon is an absolute gem, anyone visitng Vegas should definitely pay it a visit!

I’m stranded in Las Vegas Nv after someone decided they need my 16 year old catalytic converter from my Honda Element more than I do. Insurance is working on getting it fixed so right now I’m in a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee EV hybrid, the rental company gave me the car with the battery depleted so I’ve been using the motor to drive around which is fine but I’d like to find a place to charge the battery. The vehicle only has a J1772 plug and looking at several maps around the area all the chargers are dc fast chargers or have the ccs1 type connector which I can not use. Looking on a ev map I see lots of level one chargers but they all seem to be inside apartment complexes I can’t access and would prefer to charge at level 2 speeds if possible. Any help either locating a place or charge or an app that can identify public chargers with that still have J1772 plugs would be appreciated
