Top Gun Maverick

After seeing Top Gun at the movies recently for the 40th anniversary re-release - I knew I just had to watch Top Gun Maverick on the big screen too. I hadn’t had the chance to watch it when it released. Watching it now made me think about how much Tom Cruise has learned from the Mission Impossible franchise. He’s managed the rare balance of taking the best of the structure and elements of some of the later mission impossible movies while staying true to what Top Gun is - a love letter to aviation

Top Gun 40th Anniversary Celebration

I went to see Top Gun at the movies yesterday and my goodness there are no words to describe the sheer joy of watching this movie in the big screen. I am not old enough to have been able to see this in the theatres when it released and so this rerelease is literally such a gift ! Cinematic brilliance - Tom Cruise rarely disappoints! Makes me want to go back to watch the second top gun in the movies as well.
