FileLu Review: rclone, S3, and FTP Stability Issues
I've been monitoring FileLu for some time on Reddit and decided to purchase a lifetime plan on StackSocial when it was released last month. I've been testing it with rclone and S3 (or S5 as they call it), with disappointing results. I've used rclone extensively in the past with pCloud, and there wasn't a single issue. I then opened a support ticket with details of the testing and outlined what could possibly be a bug in the implementation. However, the ticket was marked as "resolved" without any reply, and of course, the problems still exist to this day.
I hope they can resolve these issues one day (especially since the Windows app was flagged as spyware by Windows, and I wouldn't want to continue using it, even though they claim it's a false positive). This is just a reminder that choosing an unestablished cloud provider can sometimes feel like money thrown into the sea. Here's hoping they can improve the stability of rclone, S3, and even FTP(S) support in the future (there are frequent disconnections when transferring large files), so I can eventually return to using it.
