Spider plant rescue

Heya! I found this plant thrown out outside my apartment complex about two weeks ago and decided to rescue it as it didn’t seem too bad and also had no pests or anything! I’ve since changed it to a smaller pot with drainage (the one in the pictures; ignore the bigger glass pot it’s in, that one’s just so the plant is higher up and doesn’t flop onto my others) as it was in a pot way too big for the roots and had no drainage.

Are there any tips and tricks to get this plant in a better state? Compared to most pictures I’ve seen of spider plants, this one seems very empty and overall weak? It hangs to one side and all the leaves flop everywhere. Lots of leaves have also snapped in the middle.

I would love to get this abandoned plant back on track!!

any idea what was wrong with this goose?

This video is from yesterday, unfortunately I found this fledging passed away this morning a bit further along on the grass. So no urgency, just curious about what might have caused it :(

Any idea what could have been going on? It was a fledgling greylag goose that had been wandering alone in the grass for the past week or so, it was never with one of the greylag families we have around, it just ate alone on the grass all day. Yesterday it spent most of the day between the ducks as well.

Animal emergency services around here are absolutely terrible (couldn’t get into contact with them and even then, I’ve heard they have a tendency to put down any wild birds), still, I wish I could’ve done something :(

I’ve been looking for UV lamps for a while, always more in the back of my mind though because they’re fairly expensive and the sun works fine most of the time. Now that I’m getting more into Solarfast I’m looking more actively because printing those in the sun is a pain 🙃 When looking for other art supplies I came across this lamp on the shop I regularly get supplies at, for less than half the price of any other UV lamp I’ve seen around. Does it look any good specifications wise? I’ve seen most people say a good lamp is 365-395nm but this lamp doesn’t even mention nm 😅. Also wasn’t sure if 10W is any good, I saw that most lamps are 50-100W although admittedly I have no idea what that means 🙃 It’s marketed as a screenprinting and cyanotype lamp though.

Also just in general, if you have a UV lamp, was it worth it in making the process easier/more fun (especially with Solarfast)? I feel like I buy too much art supplies sometimes so I want to make sure this isn’t another impulsive buy 😵‍💫
