Best way to get it to perk up and not look so bald in the center?
Thinking its time perhaps for a little trim??
Little spiderlings I got last summer
Our massive spider combination plant at the office. At this point we just water it with a hose and hope for the best. I’ve taken too many spider plant pups that it doesn’t even matter. No one is going to try repotting either. hundreds of babies. We just sit and marvel!
Got this spider plant a few days ago and some of the leaves are yellowing. Was it the potting soil? I’m just using plain garden soil. It has a drainage hole in the pot. It’s on the kitchen bar. It is several feet away from its light source , an eastern facing window. Any help would be appreciated.
I've taken most of the babies off this mother (plants) but is it time to trim her down some? There are 4 plants in this pot. 3 have given me babies but the 4th hasn't put any out. Also any advice on when to repot would be appreciated!
Spider plant I've had for about a month has these long noodle like things with what appear to be miniature spider plants at different intervals. The pictures I've seen of propagating mini spider plants do not look like these minis.
Can you tell me if I just need to wait longer before I can propagate these?
I have this plant for about a month and has been havin a few brown tips but yesterday i noticed this leave idk what is happening i put her in the kitchen window get sun during the afternoon (when is sun) I water it once a week any advice
Update: Hey everyone since i'm new at having plants i appreciate the comments so Thank you to all the advices guys :)
I think I know what varieties I have but id love to know for sure. What kind of spider plants do I have? [The rough looking ones are gifts that were outside they're rehabbing 🤣]
Hello! My spider plant is thriving but I’m wondering if it’s normal for the base of my plant to have so many roots visible? I know they like to be a little overcrowded but I have just never seen this in others. I have some roots poking out the bottom as well. This plant hasn’t produced any babies yet so I was hoping I was getting close! Should I repot or is it okay?
He seems to be growing, he's leaning in his pot and has a baby sprouting. Do you think his pot is too big or is he simply facing the sun? One of his leaves is sort of floppy as well. I water with distilled water. This is my first time taking care of a plant lol.
My spider plant is in a pot that is way too small for her but I’m scared she’ll die if I repot her. In the meantime I feel like she gives all her energy to her babies at the expense of her leaves. She used to have so much more leaves. Have you ever seen this in a spider plant?
And is it risky to repot her? Any tips would be so welcome.
Hey I went on vacation for a few days. When I left my spider plant was a vibrant green and now it was 2 dead leaves, and it looked like the green was pulled from it & now had a glossy shiny coat to it that it didn’t have before.
I took it out of the soil it was in & put it in a wine bottle full of water. The soil wouldn’t drain properly. 4 days ago this plant looked super healthy so I don’t know what happened.
The last photo is what it looked like a week ago.
These are all Spider Plant babies I grew from seed. They are happy, and thriving, growing roots. My question is.. when do I separate and put into their own pots? When do I go down to a regular watering routine instead of keeping the dirt moist but not water logged?
When my office moved, the boss told us to get rid of this "thing". Needless to say I called dibs. It was about this size at the time. As I was heading down the elevator, someone offered me $100 for it. I was tempted (that's over $260 in today's money) but turned him down.
Sadly, my wife won't let me hang it from the ceiling.
