Hello, everyone!

First off, it is nice to see some peace on the server in time for the exciting Zorweth update, I wish the best of luck to the brave pioneers who are off to discover the new world, whether you are travelling as part of a group or starting your own claim to fame.

For those on the Overworld, who are staying behind for research, or doing their own thing, it's time to talk about Knucklebones.

A final reminder: If your nation wants to host for the KBL, the deadline to submit an Arena Registration application is no later than July 1st @ 12 AM EST. Due to the recency, hostile environment, and the amount of unknown factors, we will not be bringing Knucklebones League to Zorweth at this time.

The scheduling for the Knucklebones League Season 2 will be released later that day and we will notify each nation participating on the schedules, as well as submit them here.

To begin, Arx has joined the league with a humble arena of their own with Arena Arx, located in the Funzone District.

Next, is Exegol, who have built the massive Skyport that hovers over the Exegol IHL Arena peering over the rest of Exodus.

Last, but certainly not least, Pavia has joined the Knucklebones League with Jester's Park. It seems everyone took a liking to the game that killed Emperor Cedar.

Hello everyone! Today I'd like to give an update on the KBL, as we move into the summer.

There has been a huge pop in feedback and interest in the KBL, with Knucklebones even being used to dethrone the Emperor of Pavia! (sorry CedarValiant). Today I'd like to share more arenas that have joined the league since then, as well as some crucial dates for those seeking to join the list of nations hosting tables for the league.

First up is Zirakdum, as they have registered to utilize their Underdome for the Knucklebones League!! If you haven't been here before, this is the ultimate arena for all battles of all kinds in Zirakdum.

Next up is Westhelm, who commissioned the league for a custom arena built strictly for a Knucklebones arena befitting of the land. We gave them a beautiful, unique arena reminiscent of the community, with Dove's Haven.

The third and final arena we are announcing today, was registered by Salerno. Deep underneath their speakeasy is the Brunsvik KBL Arena, fully reminiscent of what Salerno stands for and ready to represent its nation in the game of Knucklebones.

All Arena Registration forms must be completed by July 1st @ 12AM EST. That day, I will be finalizing the schedules and releasing them for the league. Please keep in mind that the arenas should also be placed onto live in the event you are working on this.

WELCOME TO KNUCKLEBONES SEASON 2

Apologies for the wait, but now it is time to join Knucklebones League Season 2!

Today, I am launching the KBL Official Discord, dedicated to handling, running, and managing the new sport that has now been spreading across the server. I am also proud to announce three of the arenas that will be featured in the league!!

The Ratau Arena, in Woolhaven, will be familiar to those who participated in Season 1. While its design was spiced up slightly, it is still very much the same arena where Knucklebones in CivMC was born.

Next up, in Mount Augusta, is The MTA Arena (name not final)! Featuring a slick knucklebones arena in a beautiful dragon husk, you can get a perfect view of almost all of Mount Augusta as the competition held here elevates itself to the top.

Third, and the last arena to announce for now, in Groveheart, is the Groveroot Grotto. Deep within a cavern under the Grove Tree is a natural Knucklebones board carved out by its royalty to embrace the perfect attention to nature the land has shown elsewhere.

For those hoping to host a Knucklebones League Arena, here are some guidelines as well as the application:

• Arenas must be built to proper KBL specifications, and will be thoroughly checked by a KBL official to receive verification, who will help you in the design and requirements.
• After the KBL arena's verification has been completed, a KBL Season Arena Registration fee of 50 diamonds must be paid to the KBL official working with you.
  • There is a 50% discount for nations who had a participating player in the first season of the KBL.
• While your nation can have multiple Knucklebones Arenas, only one per nation can be used for the KBL Season. Exceptions may be allowed in the case of Vassal States, though this will be expected to be rare.
• The arena hosting the tournament must be accessible to the public. If the location of the arena is in a trenched city requiring NL access, the KBL official officiating the match must be given access to the city so they may access the arena at least one week within the event's start date (a nation is open to host or ask questions regarding this).

Yesterday was a HUGE day for Groveheart as they are now home to the first KBL champion! After a fierce playoff and finals run, Ms_Enchanted of Groveheart took the victory, thus concluding the first season of Knucklebones.

We had showings from players hailing from Woolhaven, Commonwealth, Groveheart, Yoahtl, Kaiyaukuta, Westhelm, and Vinland (via Northgard), who each put on an amazing performance! Thank you to all competitors for taking this game and pushing it to its limits for an awesome experience!!

And now that the dust has settled on an amazing season...

ANNOUNCING KNUCKLEBONES LEAGUE SEASON 2

For Knucklebones League Season 2, we are hoping to expand this game across CivMC as a whole. After a great start in Season 1, Season 2 will take a World Tour-style format. Unlike last season, instead of matches solely taking place in Woolhaven, we will be travelling the world to different Knucklebones Arenas across the server to showcase multiple nations and sharing our once local pass-time with the world! And instead of a single prize only given out at the finals, all KBL Day Playoffs will be their own Single-Elimination style tourneys with a grand prize at the end of each one!

Here's a full list of changes to the format:

• The Swiss-Style Playoffs are being replaced with an Open Single-Elimination Playoffs format, where each player's accomplishments in multiple Single-Elimination tournaments will go toward their Global Ranking.
• Tournaments will have an entry fee of 10d, where 5d goes to the venue and the other 5d goes to the Grand Prize pot.
  • The venue fee is waived to local citizens of the area, however the 5d entry fee will still be required.
• At the end of the playoffs, the Top 8 Players will be invited to an Invitational Finals, where we will crown Season 2's champion.
• Other changes to improve spectating, including a change of wood types for dice to better distinguish from a distance, will be developed.
