Friendly Reminder To Vote & That BC Conservatives + OneBC have advocated Defunding UBC
Friendly reminder to vote in the BC election.
If you’re a UBC student, faculty, or staff, it’s worth knowing that OneBC has an explicit 2026 petition calling to “Defund the Radical Leftist University of British Columbia.”
There’s also a documented history of BC Conservative candidates advocating for defunding UBC.
Current polling points to either a Conservative majority or a minority government that could potentially receive support from OneBC. Polling and projections can change, so it’s worth checking the latest numbers before voting: https://338canada.com/bc/districts.htm
Worth taking a couple minutes to look at the actual positions before voting.
