So long story. Dropped my car off for a laundry list of warranty work before my 3/36k was up. Dropped the car off and did not let the dealer know I have GPS tracking with the car. Well car sits for a day and doesn’t move. Not a big deal. Was assured work would be completed in a couple days. Next day rolls around. I see the car sitting again. Then I get a notification car has been started and is leaving the geofence I put up around dealer. Figure they are trying to recreate the problem I reported for warranty work. Well car goes down to corner gas station and then returns to dealer and then sits for another day. I contact dealer the following day in the afternoon as now we are in our third day of the car just sitting there. I keep getting answering service. So I decide to just show up to dealer. Service advisor says “you want your car don’t ya?”. I reply yeah and I’d love to know why it sat for a few days and it looks like someone took it for a spin. Advisor says no the car shouldn’t have moved. I show him GPS track and he was at a loss for words. Service manager gets involved and basically just tells me he is sorry. Zero reason for my car to be driven anywhere. So there’s that. TLDR: keep an eye on these service departments. Joyrides without you knowing it sucks.
