Help me decide on a new grinder [$1k - $1500 USD]

Hey folks, i'm awaiting a Linea Mini and want to upgrade my grinder to get the most out of the coffee and would love your thoughts! My current grinder is a ~6 year old Eureka Mignon Manuale that I use as a single-dose grinder and I'm a bit stuck on which direction to go with my upgrade. I originally saw the Mahlkonig E64 WS and was sold on moving to grind-by-weight, but a ton of research is shying me away from that particular model due to various issues. So I'm now deciding between a dedicated SD grinder or going with GBW. Here's my short list as of now and I'm open to more options!

  • Eureka Atom W 65 (probably non-casa for the metal chassis) - Only GBW i'm considering right now
  • Mazzer Philos - My wife thinks it looks like a meat grinder and doesn't love it
  • Option-O Lagom P80 - Not thrilled with the current lead time
  • Zerno Z1 - Wish it had a brushless motor and the Z2 has a long lead time and over what I am willing to spend

A bit about us - 90% of our coffee consumption is espresso, Americano, and the occasional cortado or latte. We generally drink the same medium-roast coffee, but I occasionally like to try other "premium" beans here and there and maybe decaf for evening enjoyment. That said, it seems going single-dose would be the way, but given that I don't change beans out very often I was thinking i'd only fill the Atom hopper with a couple days worth of beans at a time.

Thanks in advance and looking forward to a discussion and some recommendations/validation!
