today i learned that if you try to walk on the fabric hanging around paradis they actually tear and you fall through

i had no idea, this is my 4th run of the game lmao. i was doing some parkour in the city and honestly i assumed those fabrics are either 1) "transparent" like you will just fall through them or 2) they are "hard" material you can walk on. because some fabrics in this game (and most games really) Are either "transparent" or "hard". so its really interesting that the devs not only thought that someone would try walking on these but they also added a whole animation and sound effect of this fabric tearing apart and you falling through. i think thats great attention to detail! i have never really seen this happening in any other game.

(2nd photo is the same fabric before i tried walking on it and the 1st one is after)

avowed appreciation post - god shrines part 4

i forgot i had these screenshots from months ago from my 2nd run. i really like the god shrines so i wanted to make a little post for your viewing pleasure as well.

i really vibe with skaen but it is a missed opportunity that the skull or the figurines dont also have black stones for eyes like his effigies are described in poe lore.

>However, his eyes glitter black with quiet hatred, ... They are then scourged bloody, their ears and nose cut off, and their eyes gouged out and replaced with shiny black stones.

dude i love horsecutter so much. which weapon did YOU form an emotional attachment to?

not enough horsecutter photos online so i took it upon myself to take some screenshots. i love this sword. bonus my evil envoy.

this is my 3rd run and i honestly cant remember enjoying a weapon so much. first run was just a mess since it was the first, i tried so many weapons and playstyles, i think i did mostly a wizard. 2nd run was a ranger and i did love caeroc's pride a LOT too, that feeling when it bounces off to the next enemy is so satisfying. but this run i wanted to lean into more of a fighter playstyle and man. yeah. horsecutter is where it's AT bro. it feels so good.

most weapons in this game are just so nice though. i love their designs and how they feel.

tldr: finally replayed all DLCs in (more or less) close succession after a couple of years so i decided to rank them all based on how much i enjoyed them. it's just a personal tier list. im curious about other people's thoughts though.

S - one of my favourite things about poe is the lore and how rich with history the world is. so for me BoW was a real treat, very very solid dlc. i love learning about the history so being able to kind of experience it (especially the godhammer) was amazing, made me real emotional. i love rymrgand too. all this goes for WM part 2 as well. such a good fucking dlc. i dont even have anything to add just. stellar.

A - i love both white march dlcs almost equally because i just love the area and all of the associated quests. enjoyed WM1 slightly less only because the durgan battery dwarven lore wasnt as gripping for me personally (still loved it though). i just enjoyed the 2nd part more when it comes to learning new lore. the lair of the eyeless will remain one of my favourite quests.

B - i enjoy poe when its more... serious. so tayn's unseriousness brings this dlc down a Little for me. but it isnt that bad and some of his interactions with llengrath are kind of funny. otherwise this is a cool dlc, again, love learning the lore, love the mystery and the fucked up stuff. really my only gripe is that it doesnt seem as serious as it should be but its still toeing the line pretty well. there were definitely times when i chuckled and it didnt feel too out of place. unlike SSS.....

D - oh seeker slayer survivor...... not a fan. i dont hate it! i have to say i do like all dlcs for these games. but this one just isnt for me. it was a slog to get through and the dialogue was a lot more annoying somehow when compared to the rest of poe. it was definitely on the unserious side but unlike FS this just wasnt even funny. i can see why people would enjoy the arena vibe but that just isnt for me personally and thats fine. the most enjoyable parts for me were speaking with galawain and the unique loot is very very nice. the loot is Almost worth it but... honestly im not sure i will be replaying this on my next deadfire run. BoW and FS add to the game i feel like but SSS.. not that much.
