Everything I think of has already been made.

I must be experiencing some sort of developer version of writer's block. I can't seem to improve and learn without a project but every project I think of has already been done. Why reinvent the wheel?

There's no novelty in reinventing the 1000th to-do list. And it's rather painful to go over AI generated code.

I used to love coding and making things, but now the only time I ever code is when I have a task given to me by a professor, boss, etc.

It's like I have no creativity anymore.

I don't know what to do.

How do you balance work-life-medicine?

My psychiatrist said that my meds are not effective if I'm sleep deprived. My Vyvanse works for about 8 hours and that's if I get a whole 7-8 hours of good sleep.

This means on an ideal day I have a whole 8 hours (9-5) I can function effectively under medicine.

Unfortunately that means I have no window of time left where my medicine is working for home chores or just enjoying life on medication.

By the time I'm done work, the effects of the medicine I took in the morning is gone.

So my work life is organized, tidy, and efficient, but my home life is always a mess.

I'm not sure I can reduce the amount of hours I work. Nor am I sure I can increase the window of time my medicine works.

I am unsure how to balance work, life, and the window for time where my medicine works. I would appreciate any tips or advice.

Finding the Absurd in the conflict of numbers

I do not believe I am good with words so if this is long please forgive me.

I often wonder what the odds that someone else is doing the same thing. Whenever I am on a hike there it appears inevitable that another person on the same trail will appear. Or the odds that the same person is on the same road. In essence: there is an unfathomable amount of people.

When I'm super happy a thought always hits me; It's the same thought everytime. I think, "Right now, someone else is likely having the worst day." Even when I am at my lowest point, or when I am sad. The opposite thought occurs; I think "Right now someone is having a great time."

This does not cause envy, rather a feeling of security and a feeling I cannot describe. There is some emotion I cannot find words for. It's quite familiar to the absurdity Camus describes.

I think of a quote (translated), "In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer."

I seem to be having trouble making a connection and I would appreciate any discussion regarding this topic.

Accessibility with languages in website?

Hello,

I have learned how to use ARIA a bit, and I learned about specific contrast rules and font sizes. But I don't know how to make my website accessible in other languages. My profs did not go over this.

I live in Canada and we have two major languages. French and English. But I also want to include a plethora of other languages.

I'm not sure how to go about this in both static sites and SSR. Especially with ARIA.

Edit:

ARIA would have to be in different languages too. Which means I have to test that individually? Does this mean that testing will have to cover all languages as well?

Debugging Complex Systems: Black Boxes

#Background and Rationale

The more features a system has then the more complex the system is. Complex systems are essentially the primary habitat of bugs.

Even in systems that are open-source going over and reading an entire repository for an API would be inefficient. Going over all code would include reading boilerplate code and logic that doesn't affect your use-case.

Relying on AI agents to debug is not reccomend; it's also inefficient, ineffective, and not a reccomend use case of AI agents.

As a novice programmer, I typically assume any bugs are likely of my own implementation and not of any API or library I use. It could be equally effective and potentially more efficient to treat the API (and/or library) as a blackbox over reviewing the source code related to the bug's use-case. I assume a more likely scenario is the inputs, implementation, or environment of the components I'm using that is the cause of the bug.

##Problem

What are the techniques in which a competent programmer goes about debugging a complex black box system?

##Scope and Contraints

This topic question asks for advice, tips, and techniques for debugging blackbox systems. Feedback on rationale and background are welcomed.

Note: I tried to format this for your ease of reading.
