Got to see the Walcott Quarry irl at Yoho NP in Field, BC

24 km hike RT through Yoho Pass and up 1 km to the Quarry. The area is restricted and under 24/7 surveillance and entrance is only allowed via a Parks Canada guide. No collecting fossils, but you can take rubbings! Upon completion you get a Marella pin!

Question for Cornish birders…

I’m planning on visiting the Eden Project in 2027 and am wondering if there are any must-see nearby birding areas. I’ve also heard that there are puffins in Cornwall and would love to roll that into the trip. I’d be fine traveling any distance within Cornwall but most likely wouldn’t have a car (eek! Left-side driving). Any advice on locations or scheduling would be most helpful! Anyone not from there but has been can also chime in! Thanks!

Help with terns/sandpipers (MA)

Merlin is going crazy and telling me these are arctic, forsters, and roseate terns but I have doubts. Also need help distinguishing between semi-palmated and least sandpipers.
