[Update] Conceptual Questions Help!

Hey everyone! Earlier this year I created a couple of conceptual question workbooks alongside some colleagues and listed them for you all to use. We recently went through and updated them to have some revised questions and switched out some material after hearing about what was in more recent exams. If you’re struggling with studying for conceptual questions, feel free to give a shout and I can give you the tips and quirks I know, and then help you with some study material that could push you to the passing point! Conceptual questions should be the last thing you study so don’t worry about this until you feel comfortable with the first half of the exam at least, but feel free to reach out if you’re looking for conceptual question study books!

Peach Tree Losing Yellow Leaves… Any Tips??

As mentioned, my mid-pride peach tree keeps having leaves turn yellow and then fall off/easily plucked off. I water it every second day to every third day, but usually every second day. I live in SoCal in Zone 10a. Is there a reason for this? They got transplanted about 2 months ago, and seem to be alive but I don’t know what’s up. Maybe they need more fertilizer?

Thank you!

What’s the prognosis?

My peach trees have recently started getting three different things: little red holes, little red spots, and yellowish leaves (scarce but still there). Most of the tree is fine. It was recently transplanted and we’ve recently had some cold weather for the month. Anyone have any idea what these could be for my Mid-Pride tree? 😥

Proper Ratio for Fruit Trees (Peaches)

As the caption says, I’m getting into composting for my peach trees. I have them in huge pots in my backyard so I’ll apply it to the top and let it water down, once every few months. Does anyone know what Green:Brown ratio is good for peach trees? Typical 3:1 or 2:1/1:1 so there’s less nitrogen?

Thank you!

Tell Me Success Stories!

I’d love to hear everyone’s success stories regarding growing a fruit tree in a container! Especially deciduous trees or those in Zone 9-10! I am starting my own journey and want some encouraging stories (or photos!) of other people’s successes! 🥳

Peach Tree Shaping

Update from my earlier post: I now have two peach trees 😆 The left is a 1.5 year old Red Baron, the right is a 2 year old Mid-Pride (both from different plant nurseries). They will be staying in pots for around 2 years before going in the ground at a new house. Specifically for the right tree (Mid-Pride), I’m looking for pruning help! Is it okay to start pruning even though it’s 2+ years old? I know everyone suggests a vase shape, so this winter would I cut the entire tree down to about halfway?

Thank you

First Tree— Would Love Pruning Help!

As the title says, I am a first-time proud owner of a fruit tree, and as I live in SoCal and have not as much space (for the next 1-2 years), I will be keeping it living in a pot for now. I have a couple of questions that I’m sure the general populace could answer. First, I know it will need a larger pot but should I wait until it’s dormant in December/January to transplant to a larger pot? Secondly, I would love any help on what to prune for this Summer! I have been reading up on Grow A Little Fruit Tree, but pruning is still a little confusing to me. For example, should that branch in the middle that intertwines with the leftmost branch be cut entirely to give more space and light to others?

Thank you so much for any help!

Could anyone help check my HTF charting 🙂

I have started getting into day-trading but only paper trading so far. I will begin getting into small trades soon to start getting the neuro-effects of trading as well, but I want to see if I’m understanding the micro trends as well. Out of the goodness of your heart, would anyone be open from time to time to receive a chart i’ve annotated and see if they agree with my conclusions? Maybe I’ll give you a good look on a stock! (lol) Thank you!!

Investing Opinions for Recent Grad with little student debt

Hey All. I recently graduated and acquired a full-time position and want to start really investing my paychecks. I have an account with like $10K that I’ve kinda done mainly individual stocks and tried to time the market and AI and all of that stuff and I’ve ultimately decided to just take the safe road. I am wondering what portfolio split to build, not necessarily what stocks. I’ve been thinking something like: 95% ETFs, 5% stocks. Those 95% ETFs maybe like 65% VTI, 20% VEA, 10% other ETFs for sectors I like (Energy, Biotech), and then for stocks I’d research and do DD for individuals ones. What are your opinions? Does this seem like a reasonable split, should I take more or less risk? I’ve been getting into stock research as a hobby but please, any help and guidance is appreciated!!!
