Movement question NH35 vs Miyota & others

I've been into watches for about a year now, coming into the hobby through my love of pocket knives and EDC.

My first automatic was a Chinese watch with an NH35 movement (Cadisen Aqua Diver), and I really liked it. However, I quickly noticed that I'd set the time and date in the morning, wear it all day, take it off around 10 PM, and by the next morning it would be completely out of power. I tried hand-winding it thoroughly and experimented with different routines, but nothing seemed to improve the power reserve enough to avoid constantly resetting the watch.

Over time, I picked up several more watches with NH35 movements, and they all behaved similarly. It honestly became a bit of a turnoff because I felt like I spent more time setting the time and date than actually checking the time. 😉 And my interests began to shift towards quartz watches

Recently, I purchased two higher-end watches with Miyota 9015 movements, and the difference has been noticeable. On paper, the power reserve specs are very similar, but in real-world use the Miyotas seem to last significantly longer. Even accounting for differences in rotor design and winding efficiency, the gap feels larger than I would have expected.

For context, I work primarily at a desk and am not especially active during the day. Despite that, the Miyota-powered watches are consistently running nearly half a day longer than any of my NH35 watches.

Does anyone have a theory as to why? Is there something about the winding efficiency or power delivery of the 9015 that better suits a relatively sedentary office lifestyle? Based on my experience so far, I'm becoming a pretty big fan of the Miyota movement.
