Maybe it’s just me, but this absolutely makes it sound like she’s had 14 rounds of IVF. Her wording is definitely intentionally vague and baits people into misguided sympathy for her. So gross.
I’m a first time parent to a busy 11 month old. I just wanted some reassurance that I don’t have to be concerned about the amount of food he’s eating (or lack thereof).
So we’ve been following BLW since 6 months and he is SO good at all the motor skills required for eating. He can pick food up with his fingers and cutlery, uses cups and straws and can drink his bottles independently. He is also happy to try most foods we offer and sits and the table happily with us for whole mealtimes. We offer 3 meals a day and he still has 4x8oz bottles of formula which he drinks between 4-8oz of depending on his mood.
While he samples lots of what we offer, I still don’t think he takes more than a bite or two per meal time most days. He’s not too selective, he just seems to have a low appetite. He’s our first child and we have no other kids in the family so i can only compare to what I see online and when we’re socializing with other babies, but he seems to eat less than others.
Is there something i should be doing different to help him increase his solids intake? I’m concerned about him getting enough nutrients when we switch away from formula next month.
Parents/caregivers, what are your favourite musical songs to sing to your babies, I always forget every song I’ve ever heard when I’m putting my son to bed 😂
