Come Make Some New Friends at Hobbled Dog Cidery!! :)

Hi everyone! I’m hosting another Speed-Friending night at Hobbled Dog Cidery on August 27, for ages 21+!

If you’ve never been to one of our Speed-Friending events before, here’s basically how it works:

  • You’ll be placed into a small group when you arrive.
  • We’ll have conversation prompts/questions at the tables to help break the ice.
  • Each round gives you enough time to actually talk and get to know the people in your group without feeling rushed or stuck in one conversation all night.
  • After each round, groups rotate so you’re meeting new people throughout the night.
  • You don’t have to come with a friend, a lot of people come by themselves!
  • At the end of the night, you can choose who you’d like to connect with again.
  • If you both choose each other, I’ll send you each other’s contact information after the event.

It’s really just a structured way to meet new people without having to walk into a bar and somehow figure out how to introduce yourself to strangers.

If you’ve been wanting to expand your friend group, are newer to Cache Valley, or just want to meet some different people, you’re absolutely welcome.

Hi everyone! The Human Connect Project is hosting a Speed-Dating Event for Ages 40–50 on August 18th at Home Range Brewing.

We currently have quite a few women signed up, but we need more men to help balance out the event!

The event is designed to be fun and low-pressure. You’ll have a series of short, one-on-one conversations, and afterward you can privately select anyone you’d like to connect with again. Contact information is only shared when there is a mutual match.

Restaurants with patio for group?

Hello everyone!

I'm working on starting a monthly dinner club and want to take advantage of patio season while we still have it. 😊 I'm thinking the group will be around 12 people, so I'm looking for restaurants with a great outdoor patio that can accommodate us.

So far I have:

  • Elements
  • The Owl (most summers... just not this one 😭)
  • Ruby's
  • Cafe Sabor
  • Greek Streak
  • Le Nonne
  • Prodigy

Am I missing any hidden gems with a great patio? I'd love to hear your recommendations!

Girl's Night Out: Speed-Friending & Charm Keychains

I know that making friends as an adult can be really difficult. This month I'm hosting a Girls Night Out Speed-Friending event, and I think it's going to be so much fun!!

Instead of just sitting and chatting, we'll be making charm keychains as we rotate through each round. It's a fun way to keep your hands busy while getting to know new people, and you'll leave with both a few cute keychains and some new connections.

I've had a few women tell me recently that they met some of their now close friends at one of our events. Some of them get together for BBQs, others have started a recurring girls' night, and some have found people to grab coffee, go hiking, or just text when they need someone to hang out with.

This event is women only (21+), if you're looking for a new best friend, a hiking buddy, someone to explore Cache Valley with, or just want to meet more amazing women, I'd love to have you there 😄

We'll be at Hobbled Dog Cidery on Thursday, July 30. Because of the way the event is structured, pre-registration is required so I can plan the rotations ahead of time.

I hope to see you there!

Cache Valley Social Crawl

Hey everyone!

I'm trying something a little different this month. On July 18th, we are inviting anyone who's looking to meet new people to our social crawl.

The Human Connect Project is hosting a Social Crawl through downtown Logan. We'll be making stops at Home Range, Barrel & Stave, Prodigy, and The White Owl, spending time at each location and getting to know the people along the way.

This isn't a drinking competition and you definitely don't need to come with a group. The idea is simply to create an easy, low-pressure way to meet people and support some great local businesses at the same time.

If you've been wanting to expand your social circle, meet other people in Cache Valley, or just get out of the house for a Saturday night, we'd love to have you join us.

Tickets are limited so we can keep the group manageable and make it easier for everyone to connect.

Hope to see some of you there!

Come Meet Some New People in Cache Valley

Hey guys! The Human Connect Project is getting close to our next Speed-Friending event at Hobbled Dog Cidery on June 25th and I wanted to share a little more about who has been attending these events. A lot of people come because they’re new to Cache Valley, work from home, recently got out of a relationship, want more community, or just miss having real social connection outside of their phones. This isn’t a dating event and it’s definitely not as intimidating as people think. You’ll rotate through small group conversations throughout the night, so there’s no awkward standing around or pressure to carry conversations by yourself. Everyone there is showing up for the same reason: to meet new people and make new friends.

I’ve really loved watching people leave these events with plans to hang out again, join new groups together, grab coffee, go hiking, and build actual friendships outside of the event. This is perfect for those who have been wanting to put themselves there a little more this summer, and I’d love to get to meet you as well!

Cache Valley singles: We're looking for a few more women ages 25-35 for Speed Dating!

Hi everyone!

I run The Human Connect Project, where I host Speed Dating and Speed-Friending events throughout Cache Valley and Northern Utah. We're currently looking for a few more women ages 25-35 for our upcoming Speed Dating event on June 23rd.

To keep the event balanced, we've temporarily paused men's registrations and started a waitlist. As soon as we fill a few more women's spots, we'll begin opening spots to the men on the waitlist.

The event will take place in Logan on June 23 and is designed for singles ages 25-35. You'll spend the evening having a series of short, one-on-one conversations with other local singles. No apps, no swiping, and no pressure to be anything other than yourself.

If you've been thinking about putting yourself out there, meeting new people, or trying something different, this is a fun and low-pressure way to do it. Most people arrive a little nervous and leave saying they had a much better time than they expected.

Feel free to comment or message me with any questions.

Speed-Dating Event | Ages 35-50

Hi Friends!

I am really excited about our next Speed-Dating Event here in Logan!! I know how hard meeting people in real life can feel, especially once you're out of your 20's and not surrounded by new people anymore.

I am hosting Speed-Dating for ages 35-50 on May 26th! These events are more relaxed and low-pressure than people expect them to be. Everyone who comes is there for the same reason: to meet someone new. You don't have to wonder if it's weird to start a conversation, that is why everyone showed up!

I’ve had so many people leave these events saying they were nervous beforehand and ended up having an amazing time. Even if you don’t meet your person, you’ll probably leave feeling glad you came.

Spots are limited so we can keep the numbers balanced, so pre-registration is required.

Hi Friends!

I’ve got a couple upcoming events through The Human Connect Project and wanted to share in case you’ve been wanting to meet new people but don’t really know how to do that in real life (because it's actually really hard).

We have a Speed-Friending Event at Hobbled Dog Cidery on May 14th! Hobbled Dog is such a cool local spot and deserves more love, so this is a great excuse to come check it out, grab a drink, and meet some new people while you’re at it.

Then on May 19th we are hosting Women-Only Speed-Friending at The Owl! This one is obviously Ladies only, coming together to meet new friends in a low-pressure and welcoming place.

If you've never done Speed-Friending before, here is how it works:

• You rotate through small groups with guided conversation
• It’s structured enough to make it easy, but still really casual
• No pressure to “click” with everyone
• You can stick around after and keep talking to whoever you connected with
• If you and someone both want to stay in touch, we’ll send your contact info after (mutual matches only)

Everyone who shows up is there for the same reason: to meet people. So you don’t have to overthink starting conversations or wonder if it’s weird. It’s not.

Our events do require pre-registration due to all the coordination it takes to make sure you meet as many people as possible. If you are thinking about trying it out, here is our link to sign up! https://www.eventbrite.com/o/120494602021
