Left Australia without BVB
Hello everyone,
Before I get into it I just want to start by saying:
I am well aware that what I have done is incredibly stupid and very serious, I am very disappointed in myself for forgetting to apply for a BVB as I have done it successfully multiple times in the past. You don't need to tell me how stupid and careless I have been as I am well aware and in a lot of stress because of my terrible mistake.
I'm a UK citizen, I applied for a Partner Visa 820 onshore 11 months ago, my BVA became active in Jan 2026, I left Australia to visit my family member with cancer 2 weeks ago and completely forgot to apply for a BVB.
What is my move now to return to Australia? From what I understand I need to apply for a Visitor visa 600 and truthfully explain my situation. I am also eligible for an ETA and a Working Holiday Visa, are these an option?
I will call an agent tomorrow morning as it's late Sunday now so everything's closed. I'm incredibly distressed and would really appreciate any advice from anyone who has dealt with the situation in the past.
