Omni SE after one month

Omni SE after one month

I (36M, 171cm, 78kg) work as a software developer with ADHD (inattentive type) and a lack of energy. Five years ago (while not being diagnosed) I used the cheapest chair that I could find and mainly worked from my bed.

Then, for the new apartment (I moved from Italy to The Netherlands) I bought a regular IKEA gaming chair as it was described as the more comfortable one than the work chair. And honestly, I ended up on my couch. Then I found an ADHD-friendly chair on Kickstarter (Newtral Freedom-X) and while being really universal chair for doing stuff and playing guitar, it’s more suitable for hyperactive people, so it was a miss. I was tired and bought the famous IKEA Markus, but both the quality and comfort were even below my game chair from them I was quite disappointed and returned it.

Meanwhile, I tested a lot of the computer chairs from ikea, used Hermann-Miller and Leap. Nothing felt the perfect fit for me, at least for 15-20 min test. While checking out the reviews of the chairs I came across LiberNovo Omni many times, but the price point combined with the motor that has no proven record of the quality in several years scared me. Luckily, I’ve seen the news about the launch of the SE model and immediately preordered it (45cm). Now I’m about a month with it and can say something.

It’s the best I’ve ever had specifically for my case! Yes, it has some cons like material that I’m not used to (I used mesh chairs mostly) and quite “hyperactive” (haha) armrests, but its ability to fully recline when I need it and going back to work within a second, made me finally stop using the couch!

I bought it with a footrest and it’s very comfortable as well. It’s very cozy for me and still makes me productive. It’s so good that even my wife started wanting it for her workplace.

TL;DR The most useful tool for people with low energy level and inattentive ADHD who work 8 hours a day by the computer desk

Probably a total game changer for the neurodivergent people

Sometimes the most meaningful innovations aren’t the ones that let us do something impossible.

They’re the ones that quietly give us a little more of ourselves back.

I’m a Senior iOS engineer working on technology that aims to change how neurodivergent conditions are identified, making diagnosis more objective and accessible. It’s deeply meaningful work, but it also demands long hours of intense focus, curiosity, and creativity.

The irony is that I’m neurodivergent myself.

Some days I have endless energy. Other days, even sitting comfortably at my desk feels like an unnecessary challenge. I constantly change posture, lean back to think, sit forward to write code, stand up during meetings, and repeat the cycle dozens of times a day. Every small interruption pulls me away from the flow I’m trying so hard to protect.

That’s why CyboPal One immediately caught my attention.

Not because it’s a robotic monitor.

Because it represents a different philosophy: technology adapting to humans instead of humans adapting to technology.

I’m endlessly inspired by products that make everyday life just a little easier—not because convenience is the goal, but because every bit of energy they save can be invested somewhere that truly matters.

For me, that’s building software that I hope will improve other people’s lives.

However these are the questions that I (as a potential customer) would like to know and on which the testers should focus:

  • Is the tracking responsive without feeling overly eager?
  • Does the monitor anticipate natural movement, or does it occasionally become distracting?
  • Are the motors quiet enough to disappear into the background?
  • Does the system gradually feel like an extension of your workspace, or do you remain constantly aware of it?
  • After a few weeks, do you stop thinking about the technology altogether?

To me, that’s the ultimate test of great hardware. Not whether it impresses you on day one, but whether you forget it’s there because it simply fits into your life.

The products I remember most aren’t the ones with the most impressive specifications.

They’re the ones that quietly become part of my life because they make every day just a little better.

I have a feeling CyboPal One could become one of those products.
