I’m an FFL and one of my distributors had a sale on CP hellion 400. I know absolutely nothing about crossbows. I’ve only hunted with compound bows prior to this but I’m mainly a gun guy. Decent price? Should I, can I upgrade any components to improve the performance?
Anyone have any deer hunting loads? I have a 1944 (if memory serves me) M1 carbine mfg by underwood, and an International Harvester M1 Garand that I was thinking about taking out in the woods with me this fall.
Personally I’m a pretty big fan of the Barnes TSX/TTSX but I’d be open to using something else. Anyone have any tried and true loads for either of these guns?
I understand that the carbine can be considered underpowered for deer hunting but with good shot placement there really shouldn’t be any reason it couldn’t drop a deer.
Looking to see if there are any local companies or individuals importing anything firearm related stuff from Europe in the near future that may be able to get me a few boxes of 6.5x65R. If not entirely cost prohibitive. It’s impossible to find in the states, I’m basically going to have to make my own reloading dies once I get my lathe up and running.
Could someone suggest where I should prune and give a quick rundown as to why. This is a 1 year old lime tree, it comes inside for winter. I just put it back outdoors yesterday. I did cover the roots. Any other advice would be appreciated. (Excuse the mess, haven’t done spring cleanup yet outside)
