Im on WL at BOTH ucsb and ucsd as a bio major and I’m still waiting although there have been waves of WL they haven’t been for my specific major, so it gives me a little hope but I’m not too sure what’s going to happen next. I’m mainly worried about getting off the WL late and I don’t get a good registration date and I fall behind or something like that. What are your guys’ thoughts on this? Do we think there’s going to be movement at all because I do know they close the wl in like couple of weeks.

Are we getting a wave today?? Cause I’m confused on how we are 2 months past decision release date and only one wave has came out😭 I’m so SADDD

Is it true that people who go to UCSB end up having a lower GPA? I’ve been reading that student especially STEM end up having lower GPAs because gpa gets deflated. As a transfer my gpa is already pretty low and I’m trying to go to med school so I’d like to take this time in order to work on my GPA. What are your guys’ thoughts on this?

Can any transfers from previous years that were bio majors share when they got off the waitlist for UCSD or UCSB ? I’m just trying to kind of get an idea.

Does anyone know how the order of the waitlist goes as far as transfers vs first years.
I’ve been seeing some people hear back from waitlist already, but I’m not sure if they are just first years, do they hear back before transfers or is it kind of just random? Also, I know some people hear back end of may/beginning of June does that also apply to rejections? I’m trying to get a feel of how this waitlist thing actually works. Thanks

Currently on the waitlist for SD, does anyone have any experience with their waitlist as a transfer? Is it harder to get classes, housing, etc., if so were you able to figure it out eventually or did it set you back? When do we even hear back? Any experiences/pointers appreciated
