favorite bastion?
everyone has their favorite bastion and route. and i wanted to know what the general consensus is amongst the community for the favorite bastion + route. mine personally is top-down manhunt on housing. it feels like a raiders of the lost arc chase down the stairs and you always get a thousand pigs.
on the other hand. treasure is my least favorite. maybe it’s a skill issue but it is always my slowest route, and there’s no variability to it.
sub fifteeeeeeeeeeen
been grinding every day and this game has never been more rewarding. i'm gonna use this subreddit as a sort of milestone indicator with things i've learned/changed since my last pr to hopefully help others around my level.
respawn anchors. they seemed pretty scary to use initially because of the whole charging mechanism. but they are CLUTCH when it comes to a game you dont get enough string from trades. i actually only had 3 beds on my pr run but two anchors helped me get the dragon down on the first perch. respawn anchors are also great for hunger resets for no-food seeds if you dont want to spend time going to the overworld.
blaze bedding/tnt. i always thought that this was more of a hindrance than a benefit cause it always felt like the blazes just went off the edge and i could never get the rods. but the key is to get the soul sand down as fast as possible and it actually reduces the knockback by a ton. also the rates go up significantly.
you dont gotta wait for all the gold to get traded. if you've got your 20 obby, 2ish stacks of pearls, a couple fire res, and a stack of string. anything else is just wasting time. get out there and find the fortress!
that's mostly it for this one. i'm looking into getting more comfortable with zero cycling, as that will be a huge time save for the future. similarly i am looking into more complicated routes like the soog/triple to gap to save time in bastions. sorry for the book, and let me know if you have any tips for me!

unlucky perch
on pace for a nasty pr (16:11), then the dragon took the FULL three minutes to perch. I got him on the first one cycle, but it wasn't good enough.
Guess it's time to learn the zeroes!
finally broke 20
Have been speedrunning for about 3 weeks and I finally broke 20. It was an awesome seed and I cleanly made it through ruined portal + stables without dying for the new pb. This game is absolutely addicting and I can't believe it isn't more popular.
Let me know y'alls pb's and how long you've been playing. I want to get to know the community more. Theres so many niche things to help get better that I can't wait to learn
voice chat is a joke
I mainly solo-queue in siege. I’ve been hardstuck plat 1 all season and I’ve just been trying to get to emerald for the first time. But man has voice chat made this game so frustrating.
I hear lots of people say “just turn it off! you don’t have to deal with the negativity.” but this is a double edged problem because then i can’t hear the comms of the actual decent people out there. it seems like almost every other game i get placed into a four stack and they just scream in the mic and cuss me out whenever i don’t read their minds on what plays they want.
the toxicity is making it impossible to trust teammates and it just feels hopeless
Are we serious Ubisoft
Watched the Rainbow6 SLC Major stream for two hours and when I opened up the eSports pack I get 2000 battle points. I finished the battle pass weeks ago so this is virtually useless. I can almost get behind being compensated for duplicates with battle points but just straight up getting them as a reward feels a little cheap. Not to mention there is no pool of rewards for us to see what is possible beforehand.
so how about the buffed aug?
In the new patch notes IQ and Wamai’s AUG-A2 got a recoil buff. I personally have a huge soft spot for this weapon as I think it sounds awesome and hits like a truck compared to the other primaries. I don’t know if it’s perfect yet but does this buff make it a viable option?
had this INSANE game on Chalet where at the end of the round one of the defenders died to fall damage, I went back into the match replay and it was absolutely hilarious🤣🤣
