Craftsman 109 lathe help!

I am restoring this lathe I have fixed most issues and cleaned it all up but I am having trouble with the detent mechanism in the housing the ball won’t come up or down and I’ve soaked it in pb blast,heated it, tried breaking it free with a tapered pin but am having no luck. Any suggestions to get it to budge

Help me figure this out

I have been searching for a remote that can work with the stock ESC in my swagtron ng 2. I got it secondhand and it was missing a remote I already had to make a new battery for it. It still has the lean sensor, but the speed is cut in half without the remote. Please help
