I've been noticing something about Bollywood, particularly after watching films like Padmaavat.

Films often deal with subjects like history, warfare, politics, and royalty, but the writing sometimes feels surprisingly shallow. Characters seem one-dimensional, and their decisions can feel almost childlike. A king acts out of pride, a war happens because of jealousy or obsession, and complex political conflicts get reduced to a single emotional motivation. This is quite evident in older Bollywood movies too, so it doesn't seem to be just a recent problem.

What bothers me isn't the melodrama itself, but the apparent lack of understanding of the subjects being portrayed. Where are the political calculations, strategic considerations, competing interests, practical constraints, and conflicting motivations? Real people, especially those in positions of power, rarely make decisions for just one straightforward reason. Yet these films often present a simplistic, almost layperson's understanding of complex situations.

When a film presents itself as a grand historical epic, I expect its characters to think and behave in ways that reflect the world they inhabit. Otherwise, the grandeur feels superficial: the costumes, palaces, and battles look sophisticated, but the underlying writing doesn't.

What's particularly interesting is the contrast with Bollywood songs. Their lyrics can be genuinely poetic, layered, and emotionally profound. A song can explore love, longing, mortality, or devotion with a depth that sometimes seems completely absent from the film's dialogue and storytelling.

Why does this gap exist? Is it because lyricists often have a stronger literary background than screenwriters? Is commercial cinema deliberately simplifying stories for a wider audience? Or is there a broader problem with Bollywood's approach to storytelling, where complex subjects are merely used as backdrops for straightforward emotional drama?

I'd love to hear other people's perspectives, especially whether they think this has always been a characteristic of Bollywood, and whether there are films that genuinely break this pattern.

How do you determine how far down the table the 8-ball/9-ball rack should be placed, using the table diamonds as a reference?

I’m not asking about the rack formation or which ball goes in the front/middle. I mean the exact distance of the rack from the foot rail and which diamonds you use to determine it.

I’ve searched quite a bit but can’t seem to find a clear explanation of this anywhere.

Against friends you can play even with 4 players. Also getting tournament rings is very tedious and boring. The winnings are too low to make it interesting. The only tournaments I enjoy playing is against friends and your club members.

For a long time, I've heard the theory that Miniclip tolerates chetos/hackers because legitimate players lose huge amounts of coins to them and then end up buying coins/cash from Miniclip to recover.

But I think there could be another, more interesting explanation.

Think about what happens to the coins generated by chetos:

A cheto player can win enormous amounts of coins from legitimate players.

Those coins effectively get transferred from other players into the cheto accounts.

The cheto ecosystem can accumulate a massive amount of coins every week.

Then, when Miniclip eventually bans a large number of these accounts, those accumulated coins disappear with the banned accounts.

In other words, Miniclip may be effectively removing huge amounts of in-game currency from the economy without having to give anything in return.

So instead of chetos being purely harmful to the game's economy, they could unintentionally act as a kind of coin sink.

The coins aren't being "created" by Miniclip and then given away—they're being circulated between players and eventually removed when the cheto accounts are banned.

I'm not saying this is definitely Miniclip's strategy. But if the economy is designed around maintaining scarcity of coins, this would explain why the situation might be more complicated than simply "Miniclip doesn't care about hackers."

Maybe chetos aren't just stealing coins from players—they're also helping Miniclip clean coins out of the economy.

What do you guys think? Is there something I'm missing in this theory?

The Lycky/Golden Shot table and creator mode table does not behave alike. I tried practicing my shots in creator mode but it takes totally different force in the Lucky/Golden Shots.

Although not directly interchangeable, Miniclip puts the value of 1 cash aeound 1200 coins as you can buy both for same amount of real money which is way lower coins than what it feels.

How much you think should be the actual in-game cost of 1 cash would be? Or how much coins would you be happy to pay for the cash?

1 cash = 100k coins

Scratch & Win, Spin & Win do but lucky shots don't accumulate every day. I tend to miss bullseye in most of them playing each one a day.

I love playing 9 ball pool since it's quicker, refreshing and there's less clutter on the table. Unlike Miami calling pots makes it more skill based game. But it's rare to find 50k or above players on the table. I mostly get 100, 500 and 2.5k.
