Welcome to the next season of predictions!

With the our first game almost upon us, and before I post the first game week prediction thread, we can see where everyone predicts we'll end up on the table. After the position prediction for a laugh you can throw in your best prediction for Everton's season. For example "we'll end another season without a right back".

Please type your prediction as a number and not a word. I barely found the time to do these threads last season so I'm trying to automate data collection this year. Please aim to make the first (and ideally only) number in the reply as your answer. That's assuming you want your guess counted in the final tally. Otherwise go wild.

I predict we'll finish 6th! And that we'll end another season without a right back.

We're at the start of the season once again. I've put together a few extra awards for the 25/26 season predictions.

The first thing I'd like to do is give a shout out to those who joined the threads often. It's great to see so many of you getting in there for a go and you've made it all the more fun for others who join in here and there. I did want to upload an graph of which games the thread was most confident about winning, all the way down to the least. Again, can't upload images for some reason.

The next thing I was interested to see was how many of us solely picked an Everton win every time. Unsurprisingly there was a fair few and by the look of it a few more who may have accidentally entered the score in the wrong order when there was only one game week that a loss was predicted. I was interested to see if anyone favoured the home team, regardless of if it was Everton or not. Something tells me #1 on the list may have meant to pick Everton rather than the home team as every single entry was "1-0". Last game of the season and I'd like to think we'll be one of the most watched games, but I may be a bit biased. For the last game of the season please throw in any predictions you'd like, on top of the scoreline of course. It'll be much easier for me if you put the score first. After you submit your usual prediction, please reply to your own comment of what you'd like to see feature in the end of season wrap up of the prediction competition. I've got a couple of my own ideas but keen to hear some more. That way I can finally publish the end of season report a few weeks after the season has ended, because I've given myself too much to do.

Rules are:

-Post your predictions here. Must be a top level comment. Replies to other comments won't be automatically counted.

-Will only take predictions before the scheduled game start

-Please type your prediction as home-away e.g a home win could look like 3-0. An away win could look like 1-2.

Scoring will go like this:

-If you get the scores and the result exactly right, you get 3 points (perfect result)

-If you get the result right (eg you predict a 1-0 win for Everton but we end up winning 7-1), but the score isn't correct, you get 1 point (correct result)

-If the score and result are wrong, you get 0 points

Streaks are now tracked and will continue as long as at least a correct result has been predicted AND a game week has not been missed during the streak.

Frustrating game. Tough half of the season with glimmers of victory, even against City.

50 predictions all up with just the one predicting a loss. No perfect results. 43 (84.3%) predicted a win, with 7 (13.7%) going for a draw. I think this game is possibly the lowest number of points awarded from a prediction thread this season.

Average predicted score was 2.47-0.78. True xG was 1.04-0.76, possibly on the low side due to the 3 goals all coming from just outside the 6 yard box.

Momentum went our way a few times but couldn't get enough out of it and then struggled in the final 30 minutes.

From memory this week was the biggest percentage picks for the win: 50/54 (92.6%). One person (1.9%) predicted a loss. Just 3 of you picked up a point with a draw (5.6%) and nobody correctly picked the final score.
