jegulus + 1

i know this sub is for jegulus and they will always be the top pair for me, but just out of curiosity, who is your favorite for a triad? obviously, there's either barty or evan or lily, but sometimes, i find myself looking for a james-regulus-remus, or a james-regulus-kingsley. the latter is rare and has very little fics on ao3. are there any other character for a jegulus triad to look out for?

the language of the lake & sweat you out!

the flair i think is a toss up between i recommend these fics and if you're like me who's been reading them, a sort of discussion.

first of all thank u to whoever mentioned these on here. im pretty sure i found these two from the countless recommendations i picked up from this sub. they're true gems. i guess i want others to catch up before they come to a close. i usually always wait for a fic to be completed, but the update notifs for these two are lifelines.

both are alternate universe - modern day setting. both are explicit (so if that's not your cup of tea, yeah, maybe don't.)

sweat you out! is messy and at times toxic. not gonna lie, >!the non breakup in the middle was a really rough patch!<. but i love seeing reggie's growth. plus it brought about a unexpected non endgame pair between >!evan and gideon. like i havent seen that one before and im not mad at it. i even like post-relationship benjy and reg. !<

the language of the lake, on the other hand, feels like a summer read (maybe because of the fic's setting). it's lighter than sweat you out! but there's still definitely drama and roadblocks along the way. it's mild while sweat you out is heavy on the angst. it's the classic secret relationship.

anyway! dont know if the mods will delete this but tl;dr - give both fics some love or kudos. if the writers are out here somewhere, thank you for what you do! im really having the best time with your fics.

EDIT to add the links:
