Garmin Not Syncing with Connect app on iPhone
I got a Venu 3 recently and, for a few weeks, my watch was syncing with the Connect app and tracking all my activity.
Recently, I noticed it’s stopped doing that. It had been about a week and it was saying there was no activity but every day, on my watch, I could see everything there. It was saying it needed to sync, but seemed to have blanked out the option to sync it manually and it wasn’t doing it on its own.
I tried unpairing it and starting again, but now it connects and it sends me my notifications, but it keeps saying that pairing my watch with the app is failing - but I’m getting notifications and it’s showing up on my iPhone settings as a paired device. I can’t seem to re-pair the watch with the app no matter what I do!
I read something about Apple sort of connecting it twice and so the app doesn’t recognise the watch cause it thinks it’s already connected. I removed the device as an ‘accessory’ in the Garmin app and tried again, but I’m having no luck.
Any advice on how to sort this/troubleshoot/avoid it in the future would be very appreciated!
I got the app to properly track my training and now it’s just acting like an extension of my phone…
