Am I the only one who still finds NOW TV pricing weirdly confusing?

Every time I think I understand the memberships there’s suddenly Boost, Ultra Boost, HBO, Sports, Entertainment, minimum term plans, limited offers and six different versions of ad free but not fully ad free. Feels like signing up for NOW requires more concentration than it should for a streaming service in 2026. Has anyone actually found the perfect setup/value combination yet?

PSA for all those wondering about the European finals

Can access within the app. No need to go to the HBO Max app.

Have also posted in previous thread but thought showing the photo evidence would be easier!

Is the Europa League (football) not on Now TV?

Apologies, I'm not personally a Now TV user. House sitting while mother holidays, and she has now TV, and it has "HBO Max".

EDIT: Image of Membership tier "Entertainment & HBO Max": https://ibb.co/GQyvX9bD.

I read though that the 3 football finals were on HBO Max, but can't seem to find them in the interface. What am I doing wrong?

EDIT 2: Maybe the app search is just dog shit? Googling on PC turns up this result which I think is the game?

Hacks Disappeared?

I’ve been re-watching Hacks before watching the final season and I finished season 2 last night.

I’ve just gone to start season 3 and it’s nowhere to be found? All seasons have just disappeared (including the most recent season.) It’s gone from my watchlist and my continue watching/next episode sections.

It seems to be so recent that all the sites (Just Watch etc.) list all 5 seasons as being available. It also lists them as being available on Prime (which I don’t have) but it seems off after Sky incorporated HBO Max that they would take odd a show just as its final season is airing?

How much are you paying for NowTV (UK)?

Currently, I’m paying £33 for everything (Cinema+Entertainment+Sports +Ultra). Just wanted to see if anyone is paying less, and whether it’s worth switching to HBO since TNT Sports seems to have more coverage than Sky Sports?

Sky bundling Disney Plus, HBO Max, Netflix and Hayu into one package sounds impressive until you look at what tier of each service you actually get.

Netflix Standard. HBO Max Basic with Ads. Disney Plus Standard with Ads. All ad supported base tiers bundled together and presented as a value proposition. For people who were already paying for ad free versions of these services separately the bundle makes no sense at all. For people starting from scratch who do not care about ads it might be the best value streaming deal in the UK right now. Which camp are you in and has anyone actually run the numbers on what the switch to Sky Ultimate TV would save or cost them specifically?

Misleading Subscription Package Warning

Posting this so nobody else gets caught the way I did.

I signed up to NOW TV thinking I was on the standard rolling membership. Monthly billing, cancel whenever, the way every streaming service on earth works. Turns out I'm on something called a 'minimum term' plan. Same monthly billing, same monthly price, but you're actually locked in for a fixed period and your cancellation does not take effect until the term ends.

I asked NOW directly. Here's their reply word for word:

'Yes you will be charged on Monthly basis However you have signed up for Minimum term. Minimum term means that unlike with our usual cancel anytime membership where you're free to cancel from month to month, you're signing up for a fixed period. If you cancel during your minimum term, your cancellation won't take effect until your plan ends.'

At no point during sign-up was this made obvious to me. The price looked like a standard monthly price. The billing is monthly. The word 'contract' did not flash up in neon. And now I'm on the hook for months of payments for a service I want to cancel today.

Please, before you sign up to anything from NOW TV, go through every screen with a magnifying glass and check whether you are being put onto a 'minimum term' plan or the genuine rolling one. The difference is buried and the cost of missing it is significant.

If anyone has successfully got out of one of these early, I'd love to hear how.

TNTSports/Sky Sports Apple TV

Hi - In UK - I am finally free of Virgin Media, now have Toob fibre BB 900meg up/down and it’s really solid.
Have an Apple TV 4K for streaming and the Now TV app.

What’s the most cost-effective way to have SKY Sports and TNT Sports UHD on NOW TV?

I tried a Sky puck last week and sent it back - so buggy and laggy, good picture in UHD but kept speeding up and freezing was unwatchable.
