I was using the Harbor Freight press for years, but I am so glad I bought this Vevor. I use it to press big stamps into 4-5oz leather and to cut coasters with a clicker die. It works perfectly.
My truck topper has the flip down window that is toward the front and it has a small sliding window. I haven’t opened them in awhile and I can’t figure out if I’m sliding the window in the right direction or if I’m operating the flip down latches correctly. I feel like I might break something because everything is stuck. Can someone send me a picture of theirs?
I always see people folding over the edges around the liner and pleating corners, but is that necessary? It would be much easier to flush cut everything and sew the edges like a leather journal.
I tried ABF and I am now doing Maximorum. I use 18kg for single work, then I just grab another 18kg for double work. Am I not supposed to do that? I have to admit, the swings are much harder with two 18s, but there doesn’t seem to be any guidance on what weight to use. Am I supposed to use less weight?
When Raider runs with a colossal weapon in two hands, he normally slides it along the ground as he runs toward the enemy. The ghizas wheel doesn’t do that, and it seems like the perfect weapon to do it with.
I’m interested in just getting a brand name skiver. I know people get skivers from Amazon, but I’m not interested in that. The problem is I don’t really know where to buy a bell skiver besides Tandy or Maker Leather Supply. Also, if there are other reputable sites, do they ever offer discounts or free shipping?

I’ve seen wood workers that have a nice two door cabinets that seem to hold all their stuff. Is there anything similar for leather crafters? I’m just looking for something that has drawers or somewhere to hand tools that I frequently use.
I am tired of messing with dye, and I usually stamp natural vegtan, dye and antique it, but I really just want to buy pre dyed leather.
